Drummer Sol Monk is back with another album. ‘Sands Don’t Sleep’ is his second album with the trio - guitarist Tamuz Dekel and bassist Dor Samoha, joining him for another adventure following 2025’s freewheeling ‘New Moves’. These six tracks tighten their sound and expand their horizons, fusing acid jazz, Afrobeat and house into a twirling, grooving trip. Producer Rejoicer (who guests on bass and keys) gives the album a psychedelic shine that echoes long after the final note.
