Van Lupo’s debut LP, “Devices for Profit or Escape” is a synergetic creation by childhood friends Dan Sheinman and Offir Benjaminov (TATRAN). Crafted over time, the two eventually converged in the studio to record this album, featuring 11 tracks of haunting folk and slow-swirling indie rock.  At the heart of this album are its lyrics - introspective and questioning - these texts ground the songs with honesty and candor, giving weight and shape to the surrounding sonic landscape.
